I'm running a 73gig 10K drive on an Adeptec 39160 controller. This may not be a problem, but just doesn't seem correct to me. During post, when it shows the scsi configuration, it detects the hdd. In the line about the hdd it has "size" (68gig) "SYNC" (160) "BUS" (16). All this may be fine, but it seems to me that the bus should be 32. It is a 64bit card running in a 32bit pci slot, shouldn't the "BUS" be (32)?

I hope this is clear, I'm not sure it's even a problem, or even wrong for that matter. Just doesn't seem correct to me. I can't find any settings for this when I go into the "scsi setup".

Thanks in advance for any help or explanations.:)

It's talking about the SCSI bus which is 16-bits wide when dealing with a 'wide' type interface. (fast-wide, ultra-wide, ultra2, ultra160, ultra320)

yes it does feel quick..... but i went from a 1.8gig p4 to a 3.06 at the same time, so it's naturally going to feel quicker:D...... i haven't run any drive benchmarks on it.
