Interesting Article

"The Boston Red Sox are just another baseball franchise now, backed by deep-pocketed owners willing to do whatever it takes to win a World Series. They are like the Florida Marlins the first time they won a title, or the New York Yankees -- except the Red Sox have won 20 fewer of those."

You don't say. 😉

Well thanks for giving me credit for writing the article, but I didn't. An analyst did. So go blame him for pointing out the truth.

yessir.
It still breaks my heart that we were an out away during game 4 ... well ... theres always next year.

Hopefully, Pedro is not a yankee and remains a sox. we will kick his buttox next year.

People that just don't understand need to read through this thread. The Red Sox will never be just another team. The Yankee fans would love to believe that we have no identity now. They couldn't be more wrong.

How long ago was it that Sox fans were complaining about the Yankees and their spending and now an article like this surfaces and you all pounce. It's just funny to see, after all the complaints about Yankee spending, an article (God forbid!!!) has been written about the Red Sox and their free spending. Red Sox deserved the win, the Yankees did choke, but this article still presents a valid argument whether you like it or not. 18 free agents, I can't wait to compare payrolls next year.

well, they won tonight, so *shrugs*.

/pulls up lawn chair/

just continue to bicker about payroll, it's amusing.
