For the past year, I have been eating Chipotle 4 days a week.

I get different stuff each day, pretty much anything and everything besides the burrito and the hard tacos, which no one gets. The location I go to knows me by name and they give me a free meal maybe once every 3 weeks. Unlike some Chipotle's, they make the food well, with well-salted rice/chicken. I always ask for "a little" rice, which means they tend to load up more on the other ingredients. I never spend more than $7, sometimes as little as $5.80 if I'm just getting 2 tacos (always corn tortilla).

Other options around where I work are mostly standard fast food (Chick-Fil-A, BK, etc.), which costs around the same and to me is lower quality.

In case you're confused, I'm a Chipotle expert. If you have any questions about the greatest restaurant on earth, now would be the time to ask.

I don't know why you think anyone gives a shit about you eating Chipotle, but in my experience most people get the burrito from there (and I always get crunchy tacos).

Chipotle is nothing special, but I enjoy eating there every once in a while. Why there's such fervor one way or the other, well I wish I could say I'm surprised but after the "Subway is literal shit in your mouth" and other asinine food snobbery threads, I'm not at all.

Is you dead yet?

IMO, Chipotle is one of the worst "imitation Mexican" restaurants out there. Taco Bell, which I hate, is better than Chipotle.

They don't have Al Pastor, so I generally don't go there except maybe once a year or so when my friends insist upon eating there.
So many better taco or burrito places more or less in the same price range.

My main attraction to Chipotle is how easy it is to eat "clean" there. Do you know what their salsa consists of, which in most restaurants at this price point would contain artificial ingredients & fillers? It's tomato, onion, cilantro, oregano, cumin, lime juice, and salt. That's it. They are literally the only restaurant (at least where I live) with gourmet-style quality at that price point.

I can't overstate the health aspect of Chipotle. Not only are the ingredients clean, but it's possible to eat low/zero carb there as well. Compare that to a "local" Mexican joint which, while the taste may be good and doesn't use mystery ingredients, is still carb/fat heavy. Chipotle, again, can be eaten low-carb and uses rice bran oil which is considered a healthy fat. Further still, some of their ingredients are organic - again, unheard of for a chain restaurant.

On top of all that they give you portions big enough to be split into 2 meals. Chipotle is basically the Amazon of chain restaurants - they completely revolutionized the space.

lol. "clean" and "E. coli" go together. If only every restaurant was clean as Chipotle. Then everyone would build tolerance to E. coli.

Chipotle is good when you're traveling and don't know the local places or you live in white America.

the e coli was in the lemon wedges that you used to find at the water/napkin/whatever bar, which is not a unique problem. Chipotle no longer provides fresh lemon wedges, completely eliminating the issue. Very simple, really. ....and you should probably think twice about grabbing similar open-access lemon wedges at other places.

I grab lime wedges to squeeze on my tacos. I'm not worried about E. coli at my dirty hole in the wall taco place. The hot spice they add will kill just about anything.

I would rather have unhealthy good tasting food than healthy bland tasting food. Chipotle is bland and expensive.

1. How fat are you?
2. Surely you know that rice is 99% carb
3. Surely you know that salsa is majority carb
4. You're joking, right?

the spicy won't kill bacteria. It will kill insects, maybe. Alcohol could probably help with e coli, but probably not the shitty dos equis or modello that you tend to find at the hole in the walls.

When is their stock coming back? It dropped 30% or more when the scare of salmonella came and went.

No alcohol at my local joint. But they have Mexican Coke and Jarritos in glass bottles. I could go for some tacos right about now for breakfast. It's only $1.35 for any taco.

Have you considered becoming the Jared of Chipotle? (minus the, ah, other stuff)
