I'm going to aruba next week for a destination wedding. Groom isn't expecting anyone to wear suits. Just button down and pants (groomsmen are wearing tommy bahama shirts and khakis). I'm looking for a pair of pants that I can not only wear to the ceremony but also to the outdoor reception/beach afterwards. Something khaki-ish that's loose and relaxed. in my mind i'm thinking something like cargo pants without the extra pockets. Any suggestions?

I'm 6'1" and 200 lbs if it helps. Size 36 waist.

You can find something at Sears or JC Penny, even K-Mart and Walmart have some decent trousers for relatively low cost. You just need to try them on to see how the fit and rise are for your frame.

When my wife and I got married, the men wore khakis and white dress shirts except for the guys in skirts.

Pipe band. :)

I'd go with linen pants. Or seersucker. It's not often that you can wear either of those appropriately to a serious occasion.

How about: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Wrangler-C...-Pant/12519929

or

or

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Wrangler-M...horts/14542007

and avoid this (too relaxed I would think)

Few extra notes:

-I would avoid white pants, too easy to stain (go off white a bit)
-Walmart pants, depending which you get I would hold off washing them until after you first wear (clean them up, iron them, remove extra strings) - I always find after I wash a pair of pants from walmart they never fit like i want again and make me feel uncomfortable.

Since you didn't set a price, I'd recommend going to BR and looking for a pair of chino's that you like, since they have different styles/fits. If you're not happy with that price range, you can go to the Gap as they also have a selection like BR, but a notch lower in quality. Same parent company though :)

That's basically exactly what i'm looking for. I have the thin cotton shirt and flip flops of course :) Just need the pants. Linen sounds like a good suggestion. Basically something without that perma-crease that's not too stiff.
