Not sure, I'll ask them. AIL has only been playing since about February, and only in Ottawa thus far. Apparently they're doing incredibly well though, I've yet to get a chance to see them (Toronto).

First main riff of Embrace Your Nothingness sounds exactly like a riff from Dream Theater's This Dying Soul. I actually hear a fair amount of Dream Theater influences, but other than that one riff it's subtle. Definitely not bad, although I tend to like gruffer vocals.

Yeah I didn't expect their vocalist to sound like he does, but whatever he seems good.

Do they have a small US record label, or a medium sized one? If they have a small one which only deals with the US they might want to consider sending demos to for example Nuclear Blast or one of the other major European metal labels. If they get a deal here it will be much easier to get invited for the festivals, and there are a lot more big festivals here than in the US as metal is more popular here.

haven't listened yet, but tell them to CHANGE THEIR NAME!!!

every freaking metal band has a 3-4 word name that contains the words "lost", "die" or "all"

it dies today
all that remains
as i lay dying
a life once lost
at all cost
dead to dall
if hope dies
everytime i die
etc
etc
etc

Just the opposite, I prefer smoother voices. One of the reasons I like Where I Dont Belong.

pretty decent stuff. good mix of growling, screaming, and clean singing in "Where I Don't Belong". most metalcore bands fall into the trap of having their choruses over-the-top and cheesy, but this vocalist balances out things pretty well.

the other tune is fairly generic - i actually thought i'd heard it before. the phrasing in the guitar solo could use some work.
