In all seriousness, why the hell does this bother you? I don't even remember the last time I've seen a "spider" post. What would be accomplished by banning people who post it? Would this somehow raise the level of intelligence of the typical OT post? Not a chance...

😛 Yes, I have. And yes, ~30% of the responses are "spider" (I'm sure I've done it at least once,) but so what? Is it annoying? Yes. Is it immature? Yes. Does it warrant the banning of users? Of course not.

You may need to develop a thicker skin. Go to P&N for awhile and honestly express your views. You'll have plenty of people calling you a communist/liberal pvssy/Hitler/etc and probably 1 or 2 insulting PMs, to boot. Then you'll start to realize that most people become morons when they log on, so who cares? Fvck 'em!

This isn't about growing thicker skin. Since when has it become acceptable to wantonly derail every single thread a particular user posts? I don't think anyone is insulted or hurt by it, least of all Syringer himself, but it's getting pretty craptastic. Everytime you see a Syringer thread, if it's got more than 10 posts you can assume that 60% of them are just stupid Spider posts.

It's no different from any other form of neffing/spamming.

exactly. I'm a jackass too, but it even annoys me. Somethings just go to far and should be kiboshed. You can't even expect any useful responses when Syringer posts anything, and it's even creeping over into posts Syringer hasn't even posted in.

Right, and 90% of the other forms of neffing aren't banned, so why this?

Regardless, since Jason is working on a rating system for posts, I assume this point is moot, since if most people feel the way you guys do, those messages will be modded down into noise and you won't have to deal with them anymore. Problem sovled.



(and trust me, I've read the "non-spider" parts of syringer's threads - there's nothing of value there, either.)
