Question for you people who used to love working on computers so you got into the IT field and now hate working on them.

If you went for another job in another field and the interviewer asked why you wanted to switch fields, what would you say?

I have a feeling this may ocme up in my interview tomorrow and not sure how I would word it.

I thought I was burnt out because I was doing crappy helpdesk for 2 years. As soon as I got back into desktop & system tech, I realized I wasn't burnt out.. I just hated those jobs I had and wasn't doing what I liked to do.

When I first started, I wanted to learn how to build a decent pc. Only for one reason, me. What the PC could do for me. And later learned different OS's, networking, etc.
I later learned that my work is going toward making someone else rich.
If I were to choose again for a job employeed by someone else, I would think of something else.
So, I love IT for the end result on a completed project, but that project does nothing for me except pride, and something to add on the resume.

I would like to be a professional photographer, if everything goes right...I will be one in a few years. I love almost every aspect of it. I mean I really do. It took me a long time to realize that I never got sick of all the hours I put into it.
