I've been an aeron owner for a little while now, (I got a used one), and the left arm started to come loose. If this has ever happened to you, I figured out how to fix it.
First remove the 4 big frame bolts (they hold the back of the chair). Then remove the back and set it aside.
All you have to do to fix the loose arm is tighten the thumbwheel screw which is visible on the inside of the arm assembly. (Note you have to hold the thumbwheel adjuster still while you tighten this).
You also need a Torx T27 for this specific screw. Just in case anyone had this issue, I know one other person did in these forums.
