I need recommendations on parts for a $1000 computer?That will be primarily used to play video games?Mostly just sport games so I don?t really need a high end video card?Web surfing?Homework and all that good stuff?I will be reusing my Monitor?Speakers?Printer?Keyboard and Mouse?But I still need some recommendations on parts?I want to use an AMD CPU an ATI video card and I have a set of Z-5500 speakers which I want to take advantage of...I know that the Sound Blaster cards are better for gaming but will I be able to tell a deference when playing sport games...And I will need a new OS...What is the deference between Windows XP Home and Windows XP Pro...Besides price???

FYI Intel is out of the question for gaming. Nvidia is at the top a 6600gt will do you fine. AGP currently has no performace upgrade over pci-e. and in zipzoom we trust!!

A64 3200+ more than enough
939 over 754 for dual channel and futues upgrades
AGP is cheaper but you may want pci-e as thats the new trend
raid is not neccesary
XFX makes a really good 6600gt but a 6800gt would rock your world

I?m thinking about going with something like this?By the time the ASUS A8N-E is out the price on the X800 XL should be down to about $300 to $330?Also what is the deference between XP Home and XP Pro...And I dont want to OC.
