For some odd reason, my computer won't come on now

Last night I decided to swap the fan that I had in the back of the computer with the fan that I have in the front. All went well, but now...... my computer won't come on.

I have a MSI K7t turbo, 512 mb of ram, gf4 4200..... the led's on the back are red green green red, and the manual says I should contact the system manufacturer..... ok.....

this makes no sense.... as i only swapped the fans... i tried resetting the bios but i got the same thing...

just tried that still no go

i took out everything but the mobo, proc, mem, and video card
still the same status from the led's

check all your power cables? power supply? make sure all the jumpers that are needed are still there and nothing's shorting out the motherboard (loose screw, etc)...

you said that "all went well", meaning that it did come up after you initially swapped the fans?

yea i checked all the connections... everything seems tobe in its place....

i meant all went well as in i swapped the fans

the 0110 on the led's means its stuck on "processor initialization"

sigh... i should have just left the fans alone

cant you reset the cmos?

you're saying you do get the pwrsupply and fans going, but you get no video signal to your screen, but your HD is spinning ?

Double-check the seating of all your cables, and all your other parts such as your add-in cards and memory modules. Good luck! 🙂

Ok, I've tried taking out all the cards and leaving only the memory, video card, and processor in... still no results

Ok I don't know what I did but it works now again.... that was a pain....

I'm not gonna open this case until my next upgrade...... this computer has already caused me so much stress and anger :disgust:

Anyway, thanks for all the help guys

Glad its working. It obviously was offended that you felt it wasn't running cool enough the way it was and had a fit. Glad it forgave you....😀

Humm.. Same thing happened to me with my MSI board and all I did was leave the PC unplugged a couple of day's while I cleaned the carpets and when I plugged it in it got that same "Processor" error code. I had to reset the CMOS like 3 times and set the FSB jumper to safe mode for that thing to boot but it was fine after that. Appears to be some sort of MSI bug.
