The only bright spot is he was the only one at Fox to push back against what Trump said about Mattis and Kelly. That won't get him enough respect though from the existing flag staff. Not with his only being a retired junior officer with no civilian leadership experience. His combat experience can only garner so much, especially since the forever wars mean a lot of officers at flag ranks have more than he does.
