I'm getting permission denied when going to FS/T. Am I missing anything? I have 25 posts and been a member since 2003, is there anything else that I'm forgetting?

Your 25th post was made a half an hour before you made this thread.

You need to give the servers sometime to update the new permissions.

It can take a few hours to do so.

It looks like yours was updated within a hour of your 25th post.

You guys should make a treasure hunt kind of thing for Easter or Halloween. Like find the user with the most ppd, find the most posted-in non nef thread, find the lurkiest lurker. 😛
 
Has there ever been any thought to removing the post count limit? I've been a member for quite a few years, and typically read posts, but my technical savvy (and budget) often doesn't call for my contribution to the threads. The budget concerns are the direct reason I'd want to check out the For Sale thread. Thanks for taking the time to read this and consider a change. 🙂
 
I think requiring people to just make random posts in various forums to get the post count to 25 would be more detrimental than lowering the post count requirement.

It's 25 posts and a week as a member. It's helped for the mods to control the spam and trolls/thieves that were getting access to FS/T.

We're sorry for the inconvenience but it was and still is, necessary.
 
Generating 25 USEFUL posts isn't difficult at all, and seeing a member generate 25 quick posts to gain access really tells the tale on why they are here.
 
Guilty!

Someone recommended the FS/FT forum when I was looking to buy new parts for my PC update, then I read the rules and feel less interested but I have been asking questions in the forums and they were really helpful, creating an account and getting involved in the community is more important, the FS/FT are a bonus!
 
Hah - I came in here for the exact same reason. Registered for FS/FT, so I guess I need to post before I can make my way over there! 😛
 
I'm having this same problem, I think. But I've been a member for a long time and surely have over 25 posts. I've been MIA for quite awhile though.

Maybe because you haven't had 25 posts under the new forum software? Your best bet would be to post a query in the "moderator discussions" subforum.
