I believe that is a very old link to where Heatware used to be hosted and nothing malicious.

Popups? Didn't notice them... I've been using Mozilla Firebird for the last little while and am loving it. Very fast page loads, no popup... couple of small quirks, but what browser doesn't have some? 😉
