Why not have a for sale section in each of the major sub forums?

I have a PSU for sale, why not have a PSU for-sale section as a subforum for it, as well for CPUs, MB, Video Cards.

What if a person has a CPU, mobo and video card for sale?
Too many forum, too much clutter, too much searching, too much Modding...

I would love to see some sort of checkbox system in FS/FT. Someone who posts items checks all the components he-she are selling (CPU/Mobo/HD etc), and someone can search by checking those box of what they are looking for.

Well then is it ok to suggest to a person that you are selling a Video card or a PSU in the PSU section or Video card & Graphics section?

Like for instance, a member says they are looking for a PSU recommendation. Is it ok for me to say, "hey, I have a nice one for sale" it would seem a little bit like spamming a persons thread but is this ok then?

no

There is a FS/FT section for a reason. We do not want to clutter up tech sections with FS ads and posts.

Ok, thanks for clarifying that.

One last thing though, cause I was posting in a PSU thread on a purchase question and while I was giving a recommendation, after getting further info about what the members PC was going to be used for, I also suggested that I was selling a PSU.. is something like that ok?

We'd prefer that you just PM the member informing him that you had a PSU for sale.If we let you post that you had an item for sale inj one of the tech forums then we'd have to let others do it and that could possibly create a problem.

Red and Olds covered it below. We typically edit out ALL sales references from the tech sections. We don't want every user pouring in there giving "false" recommendations just to sell their old parts.
