Not as in depth as his comparisons (I haven't had the time to do them, since I had to go to the office to pick up the second card), but here are some runs to compare on a FX55.

98710 - AM3
12764 - 2k5
29756 - 2k3
34153 - 2k1

If you have any requests, and I have the game, I'll be happy to give it a go (with a fresh reformat, I haven't installed everything yet).

Id love to see X2: The Threat running @ 3200x1200 with every piece of eyecandy available going onbut I guess thats just a pipe dream. X3: The Reunion looks like it could be one of the best games graphically this year.

Any game that pushes your cards to their limit or would have been unplayable with the previous gen would be fun.

EDIT: Try to break 100k on AM for kicks if you can be bothered 😀

I've been trying to, but AM3 is hindered by SLi (it's a known fact that the 7800's take a bit of CPU power when enabled, forcing an even higher CPU clock to achieve the same results as with a single card on the CPU score).

Since the applications still seem to be having some problems pulling proper clock speeds, I'd venture that's why the clock speeds differ. All of those runs were done one right after the other, with no modifications from me.

Dang... I would hate to play games on it though. It does video so fast that the game would be over before you started playing 😉

Playing F.E.A.R. last night on it was quite the experience. I ran it's test, and had a min frame rate of 21, max framerate of 353, and a 2% below 25fps rating. I had EVERYTHING turned up, and was running at 1600x1200 (max resolution that the game offers).

There was no slowdown, but I'm not sure if SLi was being used. I think I'll disable it tonight and see if I get similar results. 🙂
