maybe there are no republicans that are barely making it in this forum ;)

My dad's a republican and he lost his job after Bush took office. But I wouldn't consider him barely making it. With stocks he's still living comfortably. i think he's voting for Bush, not quite sure, haven't really asked. He votes republican because of the tax cuts and plus he's really conservative.

I am doing much better but I don't attribute it to a political party.

I am voting for Bush because when it comes to the "big picture" (Not just War, Economy and abortion) Bush matches up with me about 53% compared to Kerry at 18%. I am a registered Republican but I would vote the other way if Kerry matched higher. I don't focus on one or two issues.

[edit] I have taken many online tests and this one seems to be the least biased and is where I am getting my %'s. [/edit]

My Sis is barely making it but because she is a Fund A Mental Case and Kerry is a Catholic she is voting for the Dub.

It would be a sad sad day the day that I relied on politics to determine whether my life is better or worse.

I'm doing much better but it has more to do with opportunities and getting my degree than what the gov't did for me or to me.

My life is much better now than it was in 2000.

But since then I have graduated and got a well-paying job.

WORSE!

Mostly due to the fact that my job has turned to pooop i nthe past two years. I'm one of hte lucky few with a "good job" though so I can't complain.

GAS prices are WAY Up and Bush has a serious conflict of interest in that area.

May be I should clarify that this deals with financial situations, rather than state of being.... because, you might have lost your job, but found love, and that might make you happier.

Out of work. Living off dividends and makes $200K+ (for the Bush tax cuts?)

Hmm I think so. I know my dad used to make $200K+ from work and stock options. Last year, the year he got laid off, he said he actually made more doing stocks than from work, so I guess he must have made $200K+ again. This year I don't know, I think the market has been bad. He doesn't say much about it anymore when I call him.

I guess next go round, they should just ignore everything, let the country and world go to shiet, and just device some kinda online surveys/quiz to get people voting for them, base on statistical lies and empty promises. I wonder when will people actually wake up and take a look around.

You'd rather we hinge our vote on 2 or 3 issues? That would be partyline voting and that is stupid. Especially if you've developed blind trust in your source for information.

Well, if the country and world go to shiet, the online quizzes and surveys will be based on statistical lies, and people will wake up and vote for the people who are making the world go to shiet, and those who do not wake up will base their online surverys on lies and vote for those who are lying in the online surveys.

That would be nice for your dad if tax cuts could actually co-exist with spending increases or if GW was really conservative.

The economy was already well into a downturn a full year before 9/11. Technically, the "official" recession occured only in the 1st quarter of 01.

Care to re-think your statement? Put blame where blame belongs. As soon as the polls in 10/00 should that GW would likely win, dot-com investors dumped stock in fear that a new Bush Administration would actually put the teeth back in the SEC (which GW did do). Not that I feel sorry for them, all overspeculated markets just need one little thing to set the bulls stampeding in panic into the bears. Is it Bush's fault? No, but you might wanna get yet sh!t straight.

Based on what you just said, I guess people that based their vote on craps obviously love to swim in it, and don't mind keep on swimming in the same old craps. But, if you're loving craps already (and will be swimming in craps, yet again), why not give the new craps a chance? It might not stink as bad. Or is it because they have their heads so far up the pooper that it doesn't really matter?

Actually, I didn't say anything. I was merely throwing words together, to somewhat resemble your post. I should have assumed that it would make sense to you. ;)

Did you ever consider why you had opportunities or were able to go to school to earn a degree? I don't know which university you attended or how you paid for it, but if you attended a public university; and/or, received a government grant, subsidized loan or competitive scholarship award, you can be sure the dems assisted you with both your opportunities and your degree.

Repubs constantly bash dems for their "social" minded programs. While at the same time, millions of these same "repub voters" have benefited greatly from those very programs the dems fought for over the years.

Most people are willing to accept a benefit they receive from a government program (or another program) but are unwilling to give anything back after they've "made it". They essentially say "I got my benefits from program X...so let the program be cancelled because it's no longer helping me, but costing me".

I am voting for Bush because I believe that the world is a better place since he has been president of the United States. President Bush has not backed down in the face of the largest terrorist attack in US History. In spite of the insane political climate he has come up against during his time in office he stood strong, waited, planned, and when the time was right, he fought back. He has toppled two terror regimes, freeing millions of people and offering them the chance for better lives on their own soil. Whether I am better off or worse off financially as a direct result of his presidency is a mute point. I do not depend on this or any other government to take care of me, I can take care of myself.
I vote for leaders based on their character, their strength, their resolve. If Ronald Reagan had succumbed to the opinions of those around him, we would still be in the cold war now. He stood strong, made decisions asccording to what he believed was right, even though it went against what everyone else thought. It takes a very strong man to do that, asnd in my opinion, Bush is that man today, not wishy-washy John Flip Flop Kerry.
Kerry Lied, Millions Died, just ask any Cambodian.
