With the retial version this car an s-vid to rca cord in there.. if you look on the s-vid end there are 4 extra pins compaired to a regular s-vid cord. I am wondering if I were to rip these pins out would it still owrk. I have a better use for this cord but in wont fit and I dont want to pay 20 bucks for the s-vid to rca converter. well tanks if anyone can help me on this one

You can make one yourself pretty easy. I got a s-vid male connector, 20' of s-vid cable and a mail rca plug for $15 at Radio shack. My cable has s-vid on one end and rca on the other. I used real s-vid cable because it has shielding and it was going 20', but if you really just want the rca and aren't going very far, you could probably just use a regular cable, and wire that right to the s-vid connector. On the 4-pin connector, two go to one terminal of the rca and the other two go to the second terminal.

Good luck.

dp you have a pic that says what each wire does, I just chopped open a spare s-vid cable and there is 4 wires in there that have a rubber around them and a 5th wier with not rubber around it. where would all the wires go, the colours arebrown red orange and black, also the one without rubber that is sliver
