I have always wanted/kept in the back of my mind to have a 2405FPW screen since I'd really enjoy having much higher resolution monitor than I currently have (1280X1024). I have Dual 19" LCD monitors that are 1280X1024 so the picture isn't exactly as crisp as it could be with the fact that it lacks VGA. I really love the fact that I have dual monitors because of the ability to multitask which I feel I won't be able to do so with one large monitor (can't run applications in one screen with games in another) so I was wondering what would be the best route to go through in order to get the best of both worlds?

I worried that I wont exactly have much room for a 2405FPW and another one or a 17"/19" monitor... Seems like having a widescreen monitor+a regular monitor wouldn't work out too well, no? Bah, feel like I'm in a bad position and is one reason why I don't really want to upgrade my monitors..

so what do you want me to say?

ban!? ;)

I love my dual 17' CRTs, and they're not a match...but then they are both 17' CRTs...

If you are worried about space for a second monitor, look into getting some sort of wall mount for one of your 19" LCDs (should only be around $50). Then sell the other 19 incher and get a 2405FPW. Problem solved ;)

Yeah, I have a 2005FPW and a 19" LCD on the same computer, love having dual monitors, couldn't go back to just one.

I have 18" LCD and 17" LCD. Love it. Get a 2405 and use the 19 as extra real estate, what's the problem again? use 3 monitors for chrissakes! :D;)

No, but you should be able to put the 2405 and one of the 19's on there just fine. *grin* I would LOVE a 2405, but just can't stomach the cost, especially when I already have a 2005 and WAY more money than I need to sunk into my rig.

I have matched multi-monitors at my workstation, but at home I use horribly mismatched 22" crt + 17" lcd. Soon it will be 24" CRT + 17" LCD, but I have to have dual monitors (I also drive my 55" RPTV, so technically its a 3 display setup) The LCD is just for web brousing and utilities, I wouldn't want matched monitor in this setup, but a FW900 + 2405FPW would be my dream dual setup for my main PC.

I run a triple monitor desktop. I use Matrox Parhelia for my video editing rig. Nice setup with 3 Dell Lcds.
My dream is to replace 2 with a 2405, well when its affordable.

It's kind of annoying though that these monitors have such poor dot pitch, I wonder why... Is it so difficult to make a monitor with a low dotpitch? I used to hear about 19" 1600X1200 LCD monitors, now I don't...
