Right now TV or video games aer about the only thing to do. Overall, New Haven has a lot of pretty cool bars. Try Alchemy...

Not so much into the drinking, plus I'm married so I'm not looking to hook up with people.. just looking for fun places to go with the spouse (when it's not so snowy)

Mist and the Playwrite are my usual stops when I'm in New Haven, that is, after I get my pizza from Wooster St. :p

Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun, even though it's a bit of a drive from New Haven.

I bet being from N.Carolina you and your "spouse" aren't use to this weather. I feel for you being from CA I'm not use to it either. At least you can always go into the test room and get warm from all those CPU's your "spouse" is testing;)

Interesting, I live in Jersey and went to NC the week of Christmas, and it was freakin cold. I felt colder than I would normally be up North when going to different places in Raleigh. And then to put the icing on the cake, it started snowing, which made it complete hell to leave.

My point being is, if she experienced the same 20 degree weather that I experienced when I was down there for a short visit, then she should be able to tackle the CT climate. ;)
