Geico is now availble in MA starting today....

Allstate will come in the fall (although Encompass is owned by Allstate)

The gecko has come.... gonna see what they what they quote me after work today.... so far, I have been with Progressive and I only spend $330 for a 6 month policy (as opposed to $2000 for a year with liberty) ...i really do not see how it can get cheaper than that, but we will see.

I'm with Progressive too, I was so happy when they opened up insurance in this state. I left treadmarks on the pavement leaving Commerce.

Be careful with Geico. My dad's in the autobody/mechanic industry (he does both) and Geico's fairly well known in other states for being a pain in the ass on customers.

Funny, I'm in insurance (not auto anymore and never for Geico) and I would have said the same thing about Progressive. With Progressive, the rates are dirt cheap and you get what you pay for- piss poor service. Hell, Progressive's claims reps and managers don't even know what the hell their policy says!

Ummm....no insurance company knows what their policy says.

That's funny, when I worked for Farmer's my job was basically "Know what the policy language is and make decisions based on that". We were called liability adjusters and we handled all injuries and any auto or homeowner's case where language was in dispute.

It's not an uncommon job.
