This project now supports Win95 and up, Linux, Mac OSX, and Solaris SPARC operating systems, as well as command line and file controlled versions of each of this client. The CommunityTSC project is supported primarily by The Rothberg Institute For Childhood Diseases, which is a non-profit organization, dedicated to finding a cure for children suffering from Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). TSC is a form of cancer that affects 1 in every 6,000 births and leads to benign tumors in multiple organs, including the brain, kidneys, heart, eyes, lungs and other organs. During the first few years, the severity of TSC can range from mild skin abnormalities to, in severe cases, seizures, mental retardation or renal failure.
The Rothberg Institute is joined in this project by some of the top research scientists in the world. Members of the Yale University School of Medicine, Harvard, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Fox Chase Cancer Center, and the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance help make this project happen.
