ShaggyMac is having a "Back to school" promotion where they are giving out a free ShaggyMac mini wipe with any order. The Screen Protectors range in price from $10.95 for small 12" laptops to $15.95 for 17" widescreen laptops. These protectors also double as cleaning cloths and will not damage your screen. Microfiber/chamois like material that is ideal. Very similar to RadTech, but much cheaper. Shipping is also very reasonable. Not to mention that unlike RadTech who only has sizes that are fit for Apple products, ShaggyMac has sizes that fits Windows laptops, and can even custom make one to fit the size you need.

ShaggyMac

Radtech for reference

Thanks! When I sent my ThinkPad to IBM to replace a dead system board, I made the mistake of leaving my Radtech in the laptop. Few days later when I get it back, the Radtech is missing and after several phone calls and emails to IBM, I simply gave up. $20 down the drain.

It protects the screen, but also lets you wipe it down without risking damage. Especially with the new X-brite/Truelife/blah blah shiny screens, I wouldn't risk putting paper towel or even those traditional LCD screen cleaners made for CRTs or LCDs. I use this with iKlear polish and it keeps my screen looking great. :)

I bought a bag of cotton T-shirt remnants from Walmart, washed them several times and rinsed without fabric softener. I use them for CRT, regular LCD screens and my plastic lens glasses along with Walmart/SAMS eyeglass cleaner. Works for me. Haven't tried it on my 700m yet though.

I usually just lick my finger and smear it around to clean mine off - this might be a move in the right direction.

Are you talking about a privacy screen? I recommend the 3M notebook privacy screens!

Unless there's somebody out there that can match 3M's quality, it's worth every penny! It comes with 4 plastic clear tabs that you put on the border of the lcd. Slide the privacy screen from the top and fits snug. Great for travelers and for business use.

no not the privacy screens. i was thinking more like the film that you stick on the PDA screens and such that protects it from scratches. i was wondering if they sell big pieces to cover a notebook lcd screen.

Eww... I get totally turned off by those old glare protectors at some offices. If you are thinking something along these lines, I would steer clear of it.

An error occurred with the USPS shipping calculations. If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner.
WTF?? AT effect maybe? Only other option is UPS Ground = $9.57. I don't think so! Something must be haywire with their site. I guess I'll have to wait to see if this clears up or the "store owner" contacts me.

I got the same result when it wouldn't take the coupon code and I emailed for instructions. Was emailed back to put code in comments area, but then the postage went from USPS to UPS-hmm?
