I have kt7 with t-bird 800@900. Sometimes, when I restart/shutdown I get windows protection error. Do you guys think this is an OC error, or I have to play around with power management settings.
 
I had the exact same problem when initially setting up my system. The cure was to shift around your PCI cards a bit. Here's a rundown on PCI slots and IRQ sharing.

PCI Slot 1 shares an IRQ with AGP slot
PCI Slot 2 & 3 share IRQ with ACPI
PCI Slot 4 & 6 share IRQ with USB
PCI Slot 5 shares an IRQ with Highpoint controller

Try to keep slot 1 empty if at all possible, since you really don't want anything sharing an IRQ with your video card (assuming you have an AGP card, that is).
 
does your cpu not post for some reason after you change ANYTHING in the BIoS? mine does sometimes.......even when i dont change anything 🙂 oh well im still OCing that biznatch to the MAX 🙂
 
Maverick: I have no problems with that. As a matter of fact, I was able to gain 6 extra fps after playing around with my bios.
creig: sound good. I'm gonna try to do that.
 
Craid: I tried switching around the cards, but that didn't help. I think my system crashes only after I play Ground Control. Now that's weird.
