For Instant Messangers Applications....

which one do you prefer...and why?

I used to love ICQ till it was just filled with porn spam.

These days I use AIM and MSN.

All the folks I have on those lists are friends which live in different cites or business constacts (with a few exceptions)

Trillian in windows, Gaim in Linux

I know trill has alot of bloat but I am used to it and prefer the interface.

I use them because I have contacts on multiple networks and both of these programs let me talk to these contacts.

He said Trillian doesn't count.

I assume he means single IM apps.

In that case I havnt touched one in 6 years or so

edit
although I mostly use the MSN network based on who I talk to. ICQ is nice because I can send messages to people when they are offline, AOL and Yahoo have a ton of spam IM'rs

Me either. That said, the only thing I use trillian for is AIM.

Msn because its what I started out with and I dont have to install really anything else when I have to reformat the puter.

I prefer the ICQ network.

Miranda IM on the ICQ network >*

It's a shame that most people are on AIM or MSN now.
I personally hate MSN and AIM. I haven't used yahoo in more than 5 years, so I can't comment.

GAIM, for MSN & AIM use simultaneously.

(Voted AIM, as I have more friends on AIM)

I'm surprised AIM is so popular on ATOT when AOL is banned from the forums.

MSN++

Err...how many people actually use their AOL email account from AIM? I have never once touched it.

Yes but it's still the spawn of Satan.
