Ok here are some few questions come in mind before i go ahead and install vista on my laptop/desktop

-Does vista have full MCE support like DVR recording and watching tv?
-Do winxp ati driver work w/ vista or only vista compatible drivers? any game issues? i play alot of battlefield 2.
-is there expiration on the beta 2? if so how long does it last and is there a crack for it? and anyway to remove the build number from the bottom right of the screen?
-will MS release updates for beta 2 or will we have to keep downloading latest builds?

is there a major performance benefit between 32bit and 64bit version? i have turion 64 in my laptop.. and only d/l 32bit ver.

thankyou!

1) Yes, this is supposed to be in all the builds, though I've not tested it myself (my HDTV tuner is not and probably will never be supported in XP or Vista MCE, not even counting the fact that x64 drivers of any kind will likely never be available for it...)

2) Supposedly you can usually install XP drivers at least on the 32-bit builds of Vista, but the current ATI Vista drivers seem to be a lot better than what was available just a month or two ago. I haven't done any real gaming yet, but there's an article at ExtremeTech stating that they had no real issues with games including BF2...

3) I've heard that Beta 2 expires after one year. Discussion of cracks is generally frowned upon here... (no idea about the build number, it doesn't bother me)

4) No clue, but if I had to guess I'd say they'll just continue working on newer builds. Not much sense in releasing updates for a beta OS when newer, better builds will be out in not too long... (perhaps excluding stuff like critical security fixes)

I've only used the 64 bit version, and I have to say that I was very impressed with how well it ran, Aero Glass and all (of course, I do have an X1900XT 😛). It does use a LOT of RAM though, but I have 2GB so it's not much of an issue at the moment. Only issue was relatively slow boot times and tons of hard drive thrashing...then again, I installed it to my old spare 80gb hard drive that was already 2/3 filled with HDTV recordings 😛

thankyou man! for your kind response🙂

well i installed the 32bit one for now.. maybe i'l install the 64bit on my laptop later on.. i dunno.. i do like the "64bit" idea..

one problem

where do i enable aero glass? i cant find that feature in here?

i mean is my specs not good enough?
2.0g turion64/ 1gig/ 100gb/ ati x700 128mb dedicated memory?
