well.. if sam's directing then. .well.. evil dead 2 was basically a remake of evil dead 1.. still. aston kutcher?

i dont know exactly why but i cant stand that aston guy...and it has nothing to do with him banging demi....


im sure everyone has had someone they dislike for no particular reason or am i just nuts

Bruce Campbell is a mix of cool and moron, while Kutcher is completely lacking in the cool part.

You believe Campbell's Ash as both demon butt-kicker and as the idiot who tries mumbling the "nictu" part so the dark powers will think he said it :) but with Kutcher I'd only believe the idiot part.

It is indeed a sad day for b-movie fans :(

Any of the Evil Dead movies should be off limits.....forever. They should ammend the constitution and put in a law where it is illegal to even *think* about re-making these movies. Black helicopters and trained Secret Service agents would swoop down and perform an instant lobotmy the minute someone mentions the thought of re-making these classic films. 'tis a sad day in Hollywood when such plans are set into motion. :(

I wouldn't really call Ashton Kutcher a moron; he majored in biochemical engineering.

He's also not a horrible actor. He was pretty good in Butterfly Effect. However, I don't think he would play a good Ash. He doesn't have the badass look that Bruce Campbell does.

Bruce said long ago he was not going to be doing any of the Evil Dead roles if they continued the saga. I'm sure they offered it to him many many times, but he is simply not willing to further typecast himself for a cult classic film that hollywood doesn't rocognize. I can't really blame him...but I agree with the shock factor in this thread...Ashton is too MTV to play the role. Hell Id rather see his costar from dude where's your car
