i fell down the stairs of a curly slide - hit my back on the metal stairs. i climbed up the slide and went down the stairs.
i got the wind knocked out of me.

Reminds me of the old Steve Martin joke:

The teacher wanted her to learn to sing from her diaphragm, it could take YEARS to learn that.
