For Canon S410 owners...

I see a lot of cheaper ones that claim to use "high quality japanese cells" and they have double the capacity of a regular oem one. I just don't want anything weird happening to my camera or charger.

edit: wow, i finally managed to find an oem canon battery and the thing is $44...

Well, I had an S200 and now an S500 - used generic (higher capacity) batteries w/o any problems.

I've purchased a number of 3rd party batteries for my Canon digicams and miniDV from eBay, nothing has exploded yet, and I paid 2x less than original Canon batteries. It's a win win situation.

We have the S400, with the original canon battery and 1 generic battery... I can't tell any difference between the 2 in terms of capacity...
