For breakfast, what can I put PB on instead of bread?

Rice cakes. Plain if you don't want to add too much to your diet. I do plain rice cakes + 2 tablespoons of natural PB for my last meal of the day, and just break the rice cakes up and dip them in PB.

Spoonfuls of peanut butter and honey... when I run low on food I'll munch on that for a couple of days to avoid going to the store.

Lol. I'll scrape the bottom of the barrel sometimes to avoid going shopping, but that's pretty extreme.

I like to eat peanut butter on carrots personally.

I'll try the PB on fruit... admittedly, I've never tried cottage cheese but it doesn't look very appetizing... won't it just be one giant cup of goo? I've spooned PB before but only when I got hungry and didn't want to eat a meal... breakfast is a meal so I don't think I could just spoon it and let that be it.

Since you're willing to try PB on fruit - have the fruit with the cottage cheese. A blend of frozen blueberries/raspberries/strawberries (defrosted of course) is delicious with cottage cheese. Good source of protein and carbs.

it is a cup of goo but it is pretty tasty IMO

make sure you get cottage cheese with no sodium added (only brand I've been able to find that has it is friendship available at Wegman's and sometimes Whole Foods)

Banana + PB = teh bomb. Actually I've pretty much switched to unsalted almond butter instead of PB, but they're both excellent.
