For behavioral interviews, does it work best to use the STAR method?

I am preparing for a length behavioral interview. For every question, should I use the STAR method? Situation, task, action, and result.

Any other approaches that work well for the "tell me about a time..." type questions?

If it's for a corporation, just tell them you've accepted company policy as your personal savior and promise to keep the executive fridge stocked with the blood of innocents.

STAR has worked wonderfully for me for these types of questions.
