My CPU is definitely performing lower than it should be. I just checked on Tom's Hardware Guide, it says an Athlon 64 Clawhammer 3400+ should get around 4434 CPU marks in 3dmark 05, but mine only gets 4153, which is lower performance wise than the pentium 4 3 ghz northwood, and barely better than an athlon 64 3000+ newcastle core. WTF?

i think you should keep in mind that toms probably has little to nothing installed nor running on their systems when they run the benches.

i bench at the speeds i run at and with the same programs running in the background, ie beyond tv, anti vir, etc. i'm sure you have more resources tied up then they do.

edit-that said, i'm not sure what "ai oc'ing" does and what your speed is actually at. what does cpuz say?

my CPU speed is at 2200. Actually, now it's at 2367.1 mhz, the HIGHEST possible setting I can have it set to without it instantly crashing.

yes but what does it do with your timings? does it automatically use a divider?

you should really just manually oc it through the bios. its not hard after reading a bit and i can add 200mhz with hardly an effort.
