I know a lot of us have trouble direct connecting from one router to another router and sending files. I don't know if this has been posted before but I stumbled upon this workaround and just wanted to share it with you guys. Hope it helps some of you out. Here it is:
1. Open netmeeting
2. Enter any IP addy (For example 64.108.1.1)
3. Hit the phone icon.
4. Hit cancel AND close netmeeting
5. Direct connect and file transfer should now work.
I got this to work in Windows XP. You don't have to forward any ports either or not that i know of.
