Building a new system, with a new Case MB, RAM, you get the Idea......

Anyway, I will soon buy a Retail version of the P4c 2.4Ghz CPU, 800Mhz FSB w/ HT. I'm just kind of wondering for anyone out there who has also bought this retail package CPU. In the box with your CPU, I know it comes with one of the 'Intel Inside' logo badges? You know the one, and it also has 'Pentium 4 at the bottom in blue and orange. BUT, does it have the two Hyper Threading hash marked in the upper right hand corner of the sticker?

I was just curious as I'd like to put this on my new case, and I went on Intel's website and they do say they put something like this in the retail box, but I just wasn't sure if it has the HT logo on the sticker as well.

Thanks.

I'm goig to get the 2.8C in a few weeks or so and I do believe it has the HT dash marks.

But uhh, does anyone who already has bought the box and CPU have the Sticker? Does it have the extra HT has marks. Does anyone know about this? Thanks again.

yes, all intel retail CPUs bring the little Pentium4 sticker. I dunno about the HT thing though. I doubt it.

No it doesn't,

My 2.4C came with the standard case badge without HT. I never noticed that until now, how lame! O well, I was going to get a better case badge anyway.

Why do you doubt it?

Also, you may want to try calling up a local store that carries it and asking them.

Back from the dead to add another confirmation to anyone with doubts. My 2.8C just arrived from newegg and it's the classic P4 sticker, no hyperthreading marks.

I'm also a little disappointed that the HSF is the intel classic brick with ridges (looks like a larger version of my CeleronT 1.3) and not the cool circular/swirl ones with copper insets that the reviewers seem to get.

The only way to get that logo for the case is to be an intel channel member (system builder) and run the hyperthreading verification tool. They only want that badge placed on systems that have been correctly integrated for hyperthreading, and the don't trust the everyday user to make sure that all of the requirements are met to full support hyperthreading.

one day when all of there processors and mobo chipsets that do not support hyperthreading are gone, then they will probably distribute the racing stripe logos as standard. Just a guess though
