?Intel today announced a number of new server components, including mainboards and barebones. For the entry-level servers the company offers a dual-processor Intel Server Board SCB2 mainboard (supporting up to 2 Intel Pentium III CPUs with 512KB L2 cache for 1U and 2U servers), and also Intel Server Chassis SR1200 and Intel Server Chassis SR2200. For more powerful systems the company offers dual-processor Intel Server Board SDS2 (supporting up to 2 Intel Pentium III processors with 512KB L2 cache, 6 PCI slots allowing full-size PCI cards, up to 6GB of memory, with an integrated dual-channel Ultra160 SCSI controller) and Intel Server Board SAI2 (supporting up to 2 Intel Pentium III CPUs with 512KB L2 cache, 4 PCI slots, up to 4GB of memory, with an integrated dual-channel ATA/100 controller). Also Intel offers Intel Server Chassis SC5100 (5U).
Besides the already mentioned products, Intel also introduced a new Intel Server Board S815BM1, Intel RAID Controller SRCMR and Intel RAID Controller SRCU32, Intel PRO/1000 XT Server Adapter and Intel Server Management set version 3.5. The prices are still unknown. ?
