I just found out that a friend of mine from back home died after his gun went off after pulling it up into his tree stand. Please everyone take extra precaution. I know you've probably heard it a hundred times, but my friend was a smart guy and had been hunting for a long time. It can happen to anyone.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Complacency when it comes to safety can quickly turn into a terrible mistake. My regards to your friend's family.

Sorry :( At least he went out doing something that he enjoyed instead of a car wreck or something along those lines.

For the other hunters out there, please remember to load your weapons after you have already climed the tree.

Thanks for the concern and sorry for the loss.
Reminders like this help keep you extra diligent during the season and I'm going to be a dad soon :D
Rule number one always control the muzzle of your firearm.
