check out nvidia's multiple desktops feature, can be switched with a keystroke, so theres absolutely no incriminating evidence not even on the taskbar :D

I had an employer that regularly had me traveling and working 60+ hour weeks on the road while being paid for 40 hours. One day he nearly fired me when he found out I checked my email from work. That was also the day I found out he had written a script to alert him if I checked my personal email.

What an asshole.

I travel regularly for work, and I absolutely will use my work laptop and work 1-800 number to browse the web and do my own thing in the evenings. My work doesn't really care, but even if they did, F them. I'm away from my home and my friends, not able to do the things I want... you bet your ass I'm going to use the 1-800 number to browse the web.

Sounds like you worked for a smaller company. If I was in your situation, I'd tell him to cram it, cause it certainly sounds like they needed you more than you needed them.

It was a very small company... and he had a story for every employee that hadn't lasted before me. Of course, it was always that the previous employee had been a jerk, or a thief, or lazy, etc. I stayed there four months before I had enough and left.

As they generate the logs they send to your supervisor utilizing that nifty transparent proxy server.
