Can you imagine... you go out and buy that new P6 1.0 THz... and O/C it to 1.3 THz. That would be the SHIZ!!!

Wow that's cool. Intel would probably spoil it though by giving the chip a 100 stage pipeline.

I posted a fairly detailed article on the technical details of what EETimes says that this is in this thread in the Highly Technical forum.

BlvdKing, if a 100-stage pipeline CPU design resulted in higher overall performance in the same process technology, I wouldn't consider the length of the pipeline to be spoiling anything.
