Agreed, Roots write some good stuff.

For the record, I think most of us here can make a distinction between pre-fab pseudo ghetto rap garbage and real hip-hop. If you can't make a distinction between a group like De La Soul or the Roots vs. whatever the latest steaming pile Cash Money Records has released you have no business playing music critic, IMO.

Listen to some real artist when they sing live. Like The Roots, or someone else, they don't need to dance to sell records, they sell records with doing music.
