For all you complaining about kids at the workplace

I know during working hours it is inappropriate to have kids running around the workplace, but for Valentine's Day my wife and 18 month old just stopped by (30 minute drive each way) to share 30 minutes of lunch with me, and visit some co-workers, and it absolutely made my day.

Did I take her around to show everyone? No. Did she squeal loud enough to be heard by possibly uninterested parties. Yes, once, but it was during the lunch hour so I don't care.

Kids visiting the workplace FTW

Fuck all the haters. :p

Indeed

AGREED!

Lots of people bring their kids into work to visit. Or to go out to lunch. And everyone seems to not mind/enjoy it

I'm one of those people that hates it, but in your case, i wouldn't have minded. You didn't feel the need to show her off to every person in the office (going desk to desk) and it was just for lunch, not for 2 hours. So  to you. :)

My daughter would come to see me, not everyone else. I fail to understand the compulsion to show a child off to everyone in a work environment, even if I have the cutest 4 year old anywhere. ;)

You both are lucky that mine is 2 years old, otherwise she'd be the cutest 4 year old.
In two years your children will both be dethroned........hey wait
