Back in the day, cabbage and sliced up hot dogs worked pretty good in ramen and was fairly cheap.

more like 10 cents... You see those 10 for 1 deals at supermarkets occasionally or the 4 for 1 deals for the cup o' noodles.

I had a friend who lived off ramen for a year and then he found worms in a pack of ramen that he had for a while.
