Ok,

Here is what you have:

An underemployed college graduate with an old car (1995 Chevy Corsica) and alot of student loan debt who must have his car no public transportation where I'm at. Right now the car seems to run 'ok' and is right at 115,000 miles. Previous repairs include leaking fuel injectors and water pump.

I've got 500$ I can spend for preventative maintainaince. I don't know the history of the car really before 105,000 miles. I know I need brakes cause they squeak occasionally.

What else in order of importance should I have done (don't worry about oil changes I got that one covered).

Thanks for your thoughts!!!

Cooling system. Hoses, belts....anything rubber on the car, spark plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, tranny fluid/filter (very important). That's all I can think of.

btw, your brakes squeaking are not necessarily a sign they need to be replaced.

Ditto. Good advice here. Especially the transmission fluid/filter. Do have the brakes looked at. It's usually free or close to free to have the pads checked.

There's really no end to it. I wouldn't just throw parts at it, unless I was pulling something else apart. I'd make doubley sure the brake pads have meat on them, though. Pads are cheap, and easy enough to install. That could save you money if you catch it before the rotors get chewed up.

Fuel injector cleaner twice a year. Radiator fluid and water pump lubricant every couple years. Tranny flush and filter every few years, but it may not be a good idea on your car if it's never been done. Check the condition of the CV Joint boots. Air, fuel, EGR & PCV filters...
