describe the role of acetylation and methylation of nucleosomes in gene silencing in a eukaryote. What effect do these modifications have on chromatin structure and on gene expression

i got this so far

acetylation causes the chromatin to loosen allowing access to teh genes so teh transcription factors and RNA polymerases can interact and methylation masks genes at keeps proteins from interacting

You pretty much got it. Go on to explain the transcription factors and RNA polymerases role in gene expression.
