i was wondering about case sizes and such. what kind of cases you all using? i hear the gtx's are pretty long. if and when i upgrade, am i gonna need to get a bigger case than the avg mid tower case? if you're wondering, it's an ultra wizard.

I am using the Asus Vento 3600. The 8800 didn't create a problem... though the hard drives had to be placed creatively.

Indeed, a quick googling gave me:

PCB Length = 10.5"
With Bracket = 11.026"
Height (Inside Case) = 4.376"
With Bracket (Partially Hidden) = 4.975"
Width = 1.809"

It had to be slid in at a slight angle to get it in between the back and the drive bay in my 180B. You cannot have both drives mounted in the upper drive cage because the card hits the top mounted HD if present.

Edit: GTX

The 8800GTS fits in my Lian Li PC-60 Plus with no problems at all. I think my old 6800GS OC was a tighter fit. Also, I think the GTX is 1.5" longer? I'll have to double-check but I'm pretty sure I've got enough room for that as well. The PCI-E power connector on the GTS is on the side of the card (may hit 3.5" or 5.25" drives in the front bays) but the 2x PCI-E power connectors on the GTX are on the top, which helps clearance concerns.
