You're 100% correct, but since it's been made very clear over 3 decades that the federal government doesn't have the will to take on the issue, the next best alternative is for the states affected to take their own measures. There isn't a single fucking one, he's out of his goddamn mind. 10 hour day? So 20 hours of OT? Pretty good right there. Hell if it's a Saturday some unions require you pay double time. Some even have contracts that any job that has over 8 hrs a day = over time regardless of how many hours a week you work.

Actually, yes, that's correct. The iphone is made in another country where the workers work under whatever conditions the laws of that country dictate. The farmer is in the US and thus has to abide by US laws and pay appropriate wages to his employees, and he should only hire those who are legally allowed to work here.

Here is your problem.

Chad Smith from the article is only mentioned in this passage.

So what do we know about Chad Smith - His picture is linked in the article.

We can see he is white from the picture and from reading the article we learn that he owns a farm in Alabama. He also apparently can't find workers to pick his tomatoes.
