for all people who already got a Nforce 4 Ultra board

i see there seem to be a few people who got the Asus boards....how high can you crank the FSB/HTT ?

Does a ThermalRight XP-120 fight these boards ?

On the A8N-SLI it appears the max. FSB is 290.6

You can set it higher in the bios, I tested 295 and 300. But when the board boots up. CPU-Z and
AI booster both show 290.6

Using a winchester 3200+ 2000mhz

I can run stable @ 288 x 9.0 = 2601mhz in all games and benchies except prime95 (errors out in 20-30min) Although I've heard prime95 doesn't play well with Winchesters.

I can run prime95(several hrs) stable @ 281 x 9.0 = 2528mhz

both of the above results are with the memory async @ 181-190mhz 2-2-2-5 2.6v


Or I can run 246 x 10 = 2460mhz w/ram @ 246mhz 2.5-3-3-10 2.95v
I get best bench's with this setting in most benchmarks, except of course CPU dependent benchies.

Yeah!, I love all the nay sayers who don't have the board, or a clue! Bitch'n up a storm "No locks", "No FSB above 220" wah! wah!.

The only post's I've seen where people are having trouble overclocking this board are people who don't understand the basics. Like having to lower the HTT from 5 to (4 or 3) Doh!
Or that you have to increase CPU voltage to o/c the CPU more than 10% Doh!

So everybody reads the posts of some noobs that are trying to overclock for the first time, and start posting that the board is trash.

Let me set the record straight. I've built five gaming rigs in the last two years, and this board is by far
the fastest, most overclockable board I've ever worked with
