If you use one at work, or maybe you're a student, do you know how much those things cost? I'm talking about Injectors, Detectors, Columns and all. Only thing I know is that the columns which have to be replaced are at least $1000 each.

Can anyone give me a price range?

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, these things can detect the presence of ions in a given unknown liquid and identify their concentration as well as their identity.

Sorry about the spelling, I got too excited. 😀

an IC-MS from Dionex will cost about $100,000. i've used 6 IC's at my last work and use 1 at my current job. i'd say they cost anywhere from $30,000 to $50,000 depending on the model and condition (used and new)
