For all buying Dell labeled accessories WARNING!!

Dell doesn't support Dell labeled accessories unless you have a service tag, which you can only get off your Computer CASE. if you don't own a Dell computer you cannot get service for Dell labeled accessories. I spent 2 hrs this morning trying to get drivers for my 17" Dell LCD monitor, finally i had to get them from someone else who also has this monitor.

Dell Customer Service person told me, You cannot get tech support from dell w/o service tag. Go to manufacturer, even tho i had a DELL Labeled monitor.

DELL SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!!!
 
Hmmm - It took me all of about 3 minutes to find this link to the inf file for a Dell 17" flat panel monitor. Sorry to hear about your 2 hour ordeal but in general Dell service is as good as it gets...maybe start looking in the mirror fir any future troubles...Linky
