For AAA members..how much does 1 point on your driving record increase your insurance by?

Damn you guys give him a hard time.

1 pt, speeding, $0 increase. And this is with a $3400 claim. Still $0 increase. It also helps if you are a customer with them for a while.

Wow you just made my night, or given me hope..

I was stupid and was unable to get my traffic school certificate in time (for speeding) which is due on Monday so I'll probably end up with a point.

I've been a policy member for about 4 years now, and am on my parents plan who've been with them for over a decade..

Parent's plan??
WTF why don't you have your own insurance?

Well at least if its speeding,its not as bad as DWI,{driving while intoxicated}

Go to driving school,and take the National Defensive Driving class,
which you can prob take thru AAA,and that will allow you a reduction in "your"
insurance costs for 3 years.

Oh I almost forgot,get the certificate quick,
if the insurance is in your Parent's names,the insurance Might go up,on all
of their vehicles,if your listed as living in the same house.

When I lived at home,my parents insurance rates would have went up about 10%,
because I had my drivers license,but I ttook Drivers Ed,thru High School,and this
gave me a discount till I was 25 years old. {NY state,30+ years ago}

Yeah I thought of that halfway thru my reply,
thats why I reminded him to get the drivers class stuff......
I was lucky,when I was young I had a job,and paid my own insurance,gas/etc.
and Paid for my own 10 year old vehicle.
