MySpace has recently gone through a tremendous growth spurt, and I'm sure their IT folks (Tom) are struggling to keep up. Or at least one would hope that's the case, with the speed (or namely, the lack therein) that the site routinely experiences.

Uhhh I thought datacenters have backup power? THey have UPS supplies that can run for hours, and generators should kick in within 10 minutes usually, and those last at least 5 days and can be refulled anytime.
