For a suede jacket, what do you use to protect it?

I have a bottle of leather protector that I bought from some shoes a while back. On the bottle it says it's for use on leather, suede, and fine fabrics. Do you think that stuff would be okay to use or should I look for something specific?

It should be fine. Most spray-on leather protectant (either silicone spray or more contemporary stuff) works fine on suede. I would start out by spraying a hidden section (inside the jacket or the underside of the collar) to make sure that it will not darken the jacket.

WHen you use leather protectant on suede, it will change color. Try using it on a small area before using it on the whole jacket. Or if you have something else to test it on, that would be good. ;)

That should work. I used the same thing on a suede jacket after using it on my leather trench coat. No problems.
